Additionally, 74% of millennial women say they look for coupons when shopping online, compared to 65% of millennial men. 71% of women say the last item they bought online was on sale, compared to only 57% of men. There are multiple studies that suggest women are more price-conscious shoppers than men. It’s not just the spending numbers that set men and women apart. On average, women were willing to pay around $714 a year on self care, while men spent closer to $297. Personal care: Ladies vastly outspent men on personal care products and services.Women spend just over $200 per year more than men in those two items. The largest being drugs and medical services, with women spending more than $200 per year more than men on things like X-rays and doctor’s appointments. Healthcare: Women tend to spend slightly more across all healthcare categories.Women, however, spent nearly twice as much on car insurance than their male counterparts, shelling out $1,000 per year while men spent $500. Cars: Men outdrove women in this category, spending a total of $5,507 a year on personal transportation costs, compared to women’s $4,273.Interestingly, men and women spend the same amount on shoes at $190 per year. Clothing: Women take this category, spending $1,140 per year on apparel while men spent $813.Men also spent more than double on alcohol than women, at $537 vs. Food: Single men spent $4,173 annually on grub, while ladies spent $3,680.It’s important to note, though, that the men earned roughly $10,000 more per year than the women. Men spent an average of $35,018 a year while women spent $33,786. Overall spending: Single men outspent single women, but only by a slight margin.Because of this, women may be quicker to spot a deal. Some hobbies that they are known for, apart from drinking their world famous Bavarian beer, include jogging, walking, and a host of others outdoor ventures. Germans spend 331 minutes a day engaging in activities that are not related to work. Some of the activities Greeks spend their leisure time on include walking, sailing, fishing, exercising, and dancing. They spend on average 353 minutes a day pursuing relaxing and unwinding. Some popular activities include skiing, hiking, and canoeing. Living in an area that gets the brunt of the cold climate, Norwegians spend on average 368 minutes a day engaging in leisure activities. Scandinavians have been known to love leisure activities. This is below the worldwide average of 1,765 hours, and they spend the remaining time having fun and being with the people they hold close. Most of the activities they engage in include outdoor activities, personal hobbies, and social events among others. OECD Countries That Spent The Most Time on Leisure Activities Belgiumīelgians spend the most time engaging in leisure activities averaging around 369 minutes a day.
